Showing
has always been in my blood. I started out showing
horses. When a role reversal occurred where they
were finishing me rather than I them, I realized
I no longer should be showing these unforgiving
animals. I could get hurt.
I then married, started
working on a quarter horse ranch, and the showing
fever occurred again. I showed quarter horses
for a while, broke my back, and decided again
this was another reason to stop showing horses.
When I started showing
dogs it was like the 4th of July. I knew this
was going to be my passion for life. My first
breed was Sharpei. My favorite Sharpei male was
called Tai-Shie Ridge Boogie Man. He finished
with over 50 BOB and his sister went at least
BOB 10 times Brace team and 8 Best 4 up team.
Wow..this was just
to exciting so I added Standard Poodles to my
passion and showed them until my wrists couldn't
survive the brushing, grooming, and cutting anymore.
As I aged I would have to size down my breed.
I have shown most all sizes and breeds: Poodles,
Chihuahuas, Papillons, Mexican Hairless, and many
more. I finally found the breeds I will live with
and love for the rest of my life. Being what they
are: sweet, gentle, and loving little dogs. The
English Bulls and English Toys have a place in
my heart that is all their very own.
I want to express my appreciation
to Reta, Monroe, and Owen for the many hours they
spend with my dogs and all the help they give
to me in order for me to continue living my dream.
